94+ JG. "The domaine’s Charmes-Chambertin has turned out beautifully in 2013, as it offers up a nicely reserved and very classy aromatic constellation of red and black cherries, venison, coffee mustard seed, woodsmoke, a touch of new wood and an absolutely superb base of soil tones. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and rock solid at the core, with great balance, suave, ripe tannins and excellent length and grip on the nascently complex and very pure finish. A great bottle of Charmes in the making." John Gilman, View From the Cellar, Nov/Dec 2014, Issue #54 |
