Lot #49. Montrose 1978

Description: Consists of 3 Bottles, 0.75L
Score: 92 JMQ.
"Ruby red, its intensity still sustained. Withdrawn . . . . Clean. Average intensity. Discreet, with an aromatic animale background note. Intense. Notes of fruits in syrup. Then evolves finely. Clean and ample attack. Developed, with a rather concentrated and fleshy structure. Slow evolution in remarkably balanced tannins toward a powerful finish with austere notes. An ascending structure on the palate. Very long, without the fruit of the '79 but with a more distinguished feel." Jean-Marc Quarin, Quarin.com, Dec 1990
