Lot #2039. Clos Dubreuil Dubreuil Chardonnay 2014

Description: Consists of 6 Bottles, 0.75L

Region: France.
Score: . CD.
"Benoit Trocard has learnt a lot from his wine making sessions . . . . [including from a stint] in Australia in the early 2000s. Since he harbors a true passion for the Chardonnay grape, he has been dreaming of working on one of his family plots on the right bank of Bordeaux. This has been done since the 2013 vintage with the creation of Dubreuil Chardonnay: a 100% Chardonnay wine that benefits from his careful attention. Planted in 2010 on clay and limestone soil facing south, vineyards represent an area of 0.80 hectares. Picked at perfect ripeness, the grapes benefited from a selective sorting in the vineyard, followed by a whole-cluster pressing . . . . Strong yellow, intense, luminous around the edges. Spicy bouquet with notes of resin and pine trees. Typical expression of Chardonnay grape varietal. In the mouth, fine extraction, spicy fruit. An exciting wine which demonstrates that produce a Chardonnay in the Bordeaux region can be exciting!" ClosDubreuil.fr / René Gabriel
