93 AM. "90% of the fruit comes from Pernand with the remainder from Aloxe; raised in 30% new wood with the remainder in 1 and 2 year old oak; the total holding is a whopping 3 ha and is often a source for négociant offerings. A mild touch of reduction is not enough to mask the appeal of the green fruit, apple, wet stone and lovely floral nuances. There is excellent intensity, power and precision to the tautly muscular flavors that terminate in a balanced and impressively long finish. This is not an especially big wine, at least not by the outsized standards of the appellation but the balance is such that this should age extremely well." Burghound.com, Jun 01, 2012 |
