88-90 ST. "(From argilo-calcaire and sand, which always yields a fine style, according to Charlopin): Bright ruby-red. The nose shows a note of cooked strawberry that's probably due to hydric stress, along with inviting mineral and leather nuances. Savory, saline wine with a lovely fine-grained texture . . . . this is a broad, ripe, satisfying wine with real Gevrey animality and an impression of sweetness without heaviness. The stems add needed grip." Vinous, Jan 2017 |
