"While the 2012 Brücke Auslese has a fair bit more botrytis than the Hermannshöhle Auslese this year . . . . The very succulent nose offers up scents of apple, orange, slate, a touch of petrol, ripe pineapple, bee pollen and orange blossoms in the upper register. On the palate the wine is medium-full, deep and racy, with lovely focus and complexity, a fine core, bright acids and a long, vibrant and juicy finish that closes with a fine synthesis of tropical fruit and minerality.
