92 JG. "The 2004 Les Cras from Domaine Roumier, being a bit less evolved than the Chambolle AC, is also a bit more herbal at the present time, but it too shows lovely purity and complexity down below. The bouquet is a fine mélange of white pepper, red berries, cherries, superb minerality, coffee beans, and a classic touch of mustard seed in the upper register. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, deep and very pure, with great transparency, lovely mid-palate depth, ripe, moderate tannins and really superb length and grip on the complex and still fairly primary finish. This will be a lovely bottle." John Gilman, View From the Cellar, Mar/Apr 2009, Issue #20 |
