91-94 ST. "(From 60-year-old vines at the foot of the slope; vinified with two-thirds whole clusters; this was scheduled to be racked into tank the week after my visit): Healthy dark red. Strong musky reduction to the aromas of black raspberry and graphite. Dense and thick but vibrant in the mouth, conveying superb sweetness and creaminess to its flavors of dark fruits and bitter chocolate. Here the stem element is subtle and enlivening. Finishes seriously rich and long, with plush tannins. A superb Vosne-side Nuits Saint-Georges in the making." Vinous, Jan 2018 |
