92 NM. "The 2011 St. Aubin 1er Cru Les Chatenieres comes from 45-year-old vines (15 years older than Champilot.) It offers attractive cold limestone and white peach scents on the precise, focused nose that is totally in synch with the oak. The palate is fresh and vibrant on the entry with lovely sour lemon, orange rind and Granny Smith apple scents that come across very Puligny in style. The palate is fresh and vibrant on the entry, the oak just a little lifted at the moment, and it will need 12 to18 months to become fully integrated. But this has great tension and it will repay cellaring – if you can wait." Wine Advocate #208, Aug 2013 |
