92 AG. "The 2009 Veraison Red & Krupp Brothers emerges from the glass with freshly cut roses, flowers, spices and licorice. Silky tannins frame the fruit through to the finish in this supple, radiant red. Veraison is a blend of approximately 33% Syrah, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot, 12% Malbec, 6% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot . . . . The Krupp brothers and winemaker Aaron Pott make rich, textured wines. The Krupps have sold fruit from their large, well-known Stagecoach vineyard for years, but have only been bottling since 2008. The most interesting wines are the Syrahs and Cabernets . . " Wine Advocate #198, Dec 2011 |
