"The 2005 Estate Cuvee State Lane Vineyard, which is a blend of 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc, spent 20 months in 100% new oak. There are 800 cases. The wine comes across as very Pauillac-like, with notes of cedar wood, crème de cassis, licorice and graphite. It is still opaque purple, full-bodied, pure, richly textured and impressive.
