Lot #4798. Jakob Schneider Niederhäuser Hermannshöhle Riesling Spätlese #24 2012

Description: Consists of 4 Bottles, 0.75L
Score: 94 WSM.
"This comes off two hectares of one of the Nahe’s most hallowed sites, a plot of gray slate mixed with clay, sandstone, rhyolite, porphyry and other volcanic stone. It’s a warm site, and that shows in the wine, a big, expressive riesling full of orange marmalade flavor and violet and lime blossom scents. And it lasts, meaty and full, feeling as sturdy as it is pretty. Drink it now for the full effect of its power, or put it away . . ." Wine & Spirits Magazine, Dec 2013
Provenance: The Zauberberg Cellar
Notes: 2 Very lightly scuffed, 2 lightly scuffed labels.
