100 JG. "It had been two long years since I last had the pleasure to taste this monumental dessert wine from Hanno Zilliken, and the wine has lost nothing over that time, and remains one of the most brilliant bottles of TBA that I have ever had the pleasure to taste. The magical and celestial bouquet delivers a mélange of pineapple, candied lemon, guava, bee pollen, tangerine, a brilliant base of slate-derived minerality and a lovely new touch of leather. On the palate the wine is deep, pure, medium-full and very light on its feet, with racy acids, superb focus and cut, and a profoundly long, dancing finish. For the amount of botrytis that this wine carries, its delicacy and haunting purity are utterly remarkable." John Gilman, View From the Cellar, Sep/Oct 2008, Issue #17 |
