93 NM. "Tasted blind at the annual “Burgfest” tasting in Bouilland. The 2013 Bienvenue Bâtard Montrachet Grand Cru has a forward, rather honeyed bouquet with yellow flower, a little smoky in style and missing some precision. The palate is rounded and viscous on the entry, a lot of botrytis fruit here and the finish has real penetration, especially at Grand Cru level. There is a lot to love here, a Bienvenue that looks as if it is fulfilling its potential from barrel. Tasted May 2016." Wine Advocate Interim, Nov 2016 |
