"The lovely exposition of this wine buffs all the rustic edges off what otherwise tastes like a traditional Barolo. It has the tart red berry flavor, the porcini scent, the mineral zing of acidity and earthy tannin with such aggressive youth that it completely dries out the mouth. From one of the top vineyards in Serralunga, this has impressive length of flavor and classical elegance. It will likely provide the most transparent pleasures at 15 to 20 years from the vintage."
