"Bright red. Rich and almost sweet red fruit and spices on the nose and palate. Sweet and creamy on entry, then slightly tough with noteworthy tannic bite, but there’s enough fruit lurking beneath the tannic cloak that I think all this really needs is a little time in the cellar/bottle. Very serious Carignano wine that eschews the easy sweetness and softness typical of many wines made with this variety providing instead something more interesting, bigger and more structured than usual."
