94 WA. "With the 2009 Barolo Mosconi there’s no doubt you are staring Nebbiolo straight in the eye. The wine shows enormous energy and a tight, tonic quality of fruit that is laced with dried cherry, herbal tones, pressed violets, powdered licorice and dried ginger. There’s a nervous, tight quality to the wine, especially in the mouth, that will soften with time. This is a fascinating wine that promises a slow and steady evolution." Wine Advocate #207, Jun 2013 |
