"Smoke, tar, grilled herbs and ash jump from the glass in Coho's 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Summitvine Ranch. Dark, powerful and incisive, the Summitvine is bursting at the seams with firm Diamond Mountain tannins that support a dark, brooding core of fruit. This intense, muscular Cabernet Sauvignon is loaded with personality, but it is going to require more than a little patience. The 2010 continued to improve dramatically over the time I followed it. The Summitvine is 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot." Vinous, Dec 2012 |
