93+ JG. "The 2016 Lavaux St. Jacques was also still in cask at the time of my visit, but this wine was in a fine mood and showing marvelously at the time of my visit. The great nose jumps from the glass in a blaze of black cherries, cassis, grilled meats, black minerality, French roast and cedar. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very soil-driven, with a sappy core of fruit, ripe, seamless tannins and a long, complex and nicely muscular finish. This has broader shoulders than any of the other premier crus in the Harmand cellars this year and is going to be a terrific example with some time in the cellar."
