Lot #609. Opus One 1997

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: 97 JCL.
"This is the best Opus One that I have tried - an opulent, sumptuous wine with velvety tannins, gorgeous depth of fruit and a persistent finish. Flavours are ripe but still fresh and lively without any heaviness and the layers of black currant, cedar and sweet spices are incredibly attractive. It is still a very young wine and should remain youthful for a few decades easily." Jeannie Cho Lee MW, WineNote.JeannieChoLee.com, Nov 2013
Provenance: The Maquereau Cellar
Notes: Nicked, lightly damp stained, lightly scuffed label.
