"Vinified with 40% whole clusters and aged in 80% new oak: Good medium red. High-pitched aromas and flavors of raspberry, rose petal and crushed-stone minerality. Juicy, savory and tight; much less open in the early going than the Petits Monts but not at all dry. Finishes savory, firm and very long. Ultimately a more profound and complex wine but this will need longer in the cellar. Forey described this wine as 'round and balanced' . . ." Vinous, Mar 2016 |
