93 JG. " The Clos des Ambres bottling in ’07 takes the beautiful depth and precision of the Meursault village and adds more dimension, more precision and a crystalline glaze over both the fruit and the soil expressions and produces one of the most beautiful young Meursaults I have had the pleasure to taste. The bouquet is a deep, pure and very classic expression of Meursault, as it delivers a stunning blend of apples, orange, lemon oil, brilliantly complex minerality and a pungent topnote of citrus blossoms. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, rock solid at the core and very tensile, with brilliant focus and cut, just perfect balance and a very long, quite reserved and crystalline finish. A beautiful bottle of Meursault." John Gilman, View From the Cellar, Jan/Feb 2009, Issue #19 |
