Lot #233. François Raveneau Chablis Vaillons 2000

Description: Consists of 2 Bottles, 0.75L
Score: 91+ JG.
"The 2000 Vaillons is quite a step up from the Forêt in terms of concentration, but it is also going to be a wine that drinks rather on the early side. Here the vines are twenty-five years of age, and the additional depth from the older vines is quite apparent. The nose offers up scents of apple, a bit of grapefruit, incipient notes of beeswax, floral tones and lovely oyster shell terroir. On the palate the wine is medium-full, bright and quite deep, with excellent depth at the core, superb soil inflection, and excellent length and grip on the snappy finish." John Gilman, View From the Cellar, Dec 2003
Provenance: The Ormeau Cellar
Notes: 1 Chipped wax, 1 cracked wax, 1 wine stained capsules, very lightly stained, 1 very lightly wrinkled labels.
