Lot #35. Léoville-Las Cases 1970

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: "I had not crossed paths with a bottle of the ’70 las Cases in several years, and was very pleasantly surprised to see how full and complex the wine was at age thirty-six. The bouquet offers up a complex blend of black cherries, truffles, tobacco smoke, soil tones and cedary wood. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, deep and just a touch four-square, with sound acids, melting tannins, and good length and grip on the complex finish . . . . a quite good bottle of wine . . ." View From the Cellar, Jul/Aug 2006, Issue #4
Provenance: The Matador Cellar
Notes: Very top shoulder, very lightly scuffed, very lightly bin soiled capsule, very lightly scuffed, lightly damp stained, lightly mold stained, lightly bin soiled label.
Lot Location: Orange County
Estimate: $120
