Lot #180. Pape Clément Rouge 1966

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: 92-94 NM.
"A deep garnet/mahogany core with brick rim. A very attractive nose, quite pure and fresh with a whiff of seaweed and black olives. Quite fragrant. A lovely, elegant palate and again those black olives mixed with s a little sea-salt. Good balance and freshness, this does not seem to have lost much of its vigor. Not complex, quite linear on the finish. Moderate length. Very good for a 1966: a perfect wine for those who adore mature claret. Drink now, though it does have the acidity and vigor to last . . ." Neal Martin, Wine Journal, Nov 2004
Provenance: The Matador Cellar
Notes: High shoulder, damp stained, lightly scuffed capsule, lightly glue stained, lightly damp stained, lightly scuffed, lightly bin soiled, lightly torn label.
