Lot #34. Lafite Rothschild 1997

Description: Consists of 2 Bottles, 0.75L
Score: 93 FM.
"Medium ruby garnet color with violet highlights, subtle ocher tones at edge, and broad rim variation. The nose is dominated by the high proportion of Cabernet, with cassis, ripe black berry, plum, some nougat, and exotic woods. Full-bodied, round and - one might almost say - opulent on the palate, with fine spice notes; it may not have the sheer depth of a great vintage, but it is an eminently gastronomic wine that is a lot of fun; showing fine red berry nuances on the finish, this is undoubtedly one of the best of its vintage and still has a few years to go." Falstaff Magazin, Fallstaff.at, Nov 2009
Provenance: The Aurora Cellar
Notes: Lightly damp stained labels, 2 different importers.
