92+ JG. "The second vintage of Champgains from Domaine Ente is also excellent, but the wine is far more reserved in personality than the seductive Referts and will need a few years’ worth of bottle age to start to stir. The bouquet offers up a primary blend of apple, peach, lovely limestone minerality, a touch of nutskin, hints of the butteriness to come and vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and quite solid at the core, with fine focus and grip, bright acids and impressive grip on the long and youthful finish. All this needs is a bit of patience." John Gilman, View From the Cellar, Nov/Dec 2016, Issue #66 |
