Lot #614. Nickel & Nickel Cabernet Sauvignon Tench Vineyard 2011

Description: Consists of 6 Bottles, 0.75L

Score: . NN.
"Year Planted: 1973. Clone & Rootstock: Cabernet Sauvignon See clone on St.George rootstock. Geology: The Tench Vineyard is planted on bedrock in soil that is actually comprised of weathered and broken bedrock. The area where the vineyard is planted was created several thousand years ago when a slow-moving landslide occurred in the Vaca Mountains, to the east. The 43-acre Tench Vineyard is situated on the eastern edge of Oakville along the Silverado Trail. The area’s red, rocky soils of clay and volcanic rock have produced many famous Napa Valley Cabernets. Nickel & Nickel produces Cabernet from just nine acres of this late-ripening vineyard with northwest exposure. The grapes rapidly develop color and flavor as temperatures rise and harvest approaches." NickelAndNickel.com
Provenance: The Brouillard Cellar
Lot Location: Orange County
Estimate: $300
