Lot #381. Palari di Salvatore Geraci Palari Faro 2004

Description: Consists of 1 Jeroboam, 3L
Packaging: OWC.
Region: Italy, Sicily, Faro.
Score: 17.5 WaSp.
"Looks like mature burgundy. Quite concentrated centre with narrow brick rim. Beautiful nose of forest floor and pumpernickel, black bread, tamarind. Needs much more time and air. Seems very closed and stubborn on the palate. Lots of brooding concentration supported by lots of grainy tannin and fine, lasting acidity. Definitely needs decanting. Long concentrated finish. This has still some time ahead of it." Walter Speller, JancisRobinson.com, May 2012
Provenance: The Apennine Cellar
Notes: Lightly scuffed label.
Lot Location: Orange County
Estimate: $170
