Lot #188. Louis Jadot (Domaine des Héritiers Louis Jadot) Corton-Charlemagne 1996

Description: Consists of 11 Bottles, 0.75L
Score: 95 WS.
"One of Jadot's greatest whites ever. Very impressive for its pure, clean and racy clarity of mineral flavors (as expected from a great Corton-Charlemagne). Powerful yet delicate, it has some heavy oak but is also full-bodied and marvelously balanced for long-aging. Greets you with violet and butter aromas from the new wood, then performs acrobatics with lots of chalky, wet stone, tropical and ripe fruit flavors. Refined finish is accessible now, but better wait." Wine Spectator, Aug 31, 1998
Provenance: The Chartreuse Cellar
Notes: 1 x 1.5cm, 9 x 2cm, 1 x 3cm, Very lightly scuffed capsules, very lightly scuffed labels.
