Lot #102. Léoville-Las Cases 1970

Description: Consists of 6 Bottles, 0.75L
Score: 95 JGWA.
"Quite a deep colour. Lovely expressive, firm taut nose. Savoury yet complex and inviting. Still tight-wound with dark fruits evident and a savoury, earthy edge. The palate is concentrated and dense; it’s still quite youthful with really impressive, firm structure. The acidity and tannic structure leaves it a bit austere on the finish, but this is a lovely, serious clart. Needs quite a bit more time. Excellent." Jamie Goode, WineAnorak.com, Mar 2005
Provenance: The Agneau Cellar
Notes: High shoulder, lightly corroded, lightly scuffed, 4 nicked capsules, damp stained, lightly wine stained, lightly scuffed, lightly bin soiled labels.
