"The nose on this beautiful wine is deep, pure and perfumed, as it soars from the glass in a sappy blend of black cherries, cassis, a touch of fresh mint, incipient notes of chipotle pepper, a touch of tariness, cigar smoke and soil. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very powerfully built, with the ripeness of the vintage coming across here as opulence and bottomless depth."
