Lot #2. Léoville-Las Cases 1961

Description: Consists of 2 Half Bottles, 0.375L
Score: 92 NM.
"Tasted at Roberson’s Las-Cases vertical. This has a well defined bouquet . . . . Dark berries, a touch of soy, mint and cranberry leaf. The palate is medium-bodied with firm, taut tannins; very strict and linear, a slight tinny edge towards the finish but well defined. This is probably the best bottle of ’61 that I have met . . ." Neal Martin, Wine Journal, Jul 2011
Provenance: The Mistral Cellar
Notes: Mid shoulder, heavily bin soiled labels, 1 slightly recessed cork, signs of slight past seepage.
