Lot #298. Latour 1926

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: ***** MB.
"Half a dozen consistently admiring notes, the first made the month I joined Christie's - an empty office and no secretary, July 1966. Three excellent bottles in the 1970s, 'silky, fabulous, developed well;' perfect bottles, twice, at the château, 'delicate, à point,' 'not showing its age.' Most recently, high level; fairly deep rich ruby; faultless bouquet, eucalyptus; medium-dry, not as full-bodied as expected, spicy, really lovely." MIchael Broadbent MW, Michael Broadbent's Vintage Wine (C) 2002
Provenance: The Tower Cellar
Notes: Very top shoulder, lightly scuffed and worn Château- and vintage-branded capsule, Château- and vintage-branded cork visible below short capsule, nicked, lightly scuffed, and lightly bin soiled label.
