98 NM. "A much deeper colour than the -08 but intriguingly not quite as deep as the 1900! A deep amber core with tawny rim. The nose is very lifted and well-defined with scents of dried orange peel, dried apricot, scorched leather and cloves. Very complex and seductive. The palate is full-bodied, very harmonious and not dissimilar to the 1900 with a sensuous, rounded mid-palate, which after an hour in the glass magically becomes even more exotic and voluptuous. Touches of honey, caramel, white pepper and ginger, this Taylor's is incredibly long and persistent, perfectly balanced on the finish with noticeable residual sweetness lingering on the aftertaste. Outstanding." The Wine Advocate, 0805, |
