Lot #1. Margaux 1978

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: 96 JMQ.
"Tasted blind after one hour of decanting. Color: Dark red. Blood. Medium to good intensity. Slight evolution. Brilliant. First whiff is clean. Intense. . . . . Fruity. With another vanilla and fine woodiness very present. Light touch of button mushroom. Ferment. Better. Complex and fine. Spice. Quite warm too. What sweetness on the palate, what a caressing texture! The wine develops with great delicacy of structure, then is velvety, suddenly, really melting in the mouth, leaving a tight, long frame and very ripe tannins (for the vintage). We still find the note of mushroom. Beautiful, refined length in this fairly discreet wine, which is swallowed with incredible ease. I recommend drinking it. It will still keep . . ." Provenance: The Maquereau Cellar
Notes: Top shoulder, corroded, lightly mold stained capsule, lightly faded, lightly damp stained, lightly scuffed, lightly bin soiled label.
