94 JG. "The AP #4 Himmelreich Auslese is one of those magical examples of the 2012 vintage that relies primarily on the “golden berries” of this great year, as Christophe Schaefer noted that “only about fifteen percent of the bunches included in this cuvée showed any signs of botrytis.” The wine is utterly classic on both the nose and palate, delivering a vibrant bouquet of apple, lime, pear, bee pollen, very complex minerality, candied violets and an exotic topnote of licorice. On the palate the wine is fullish, pure and gloriously focused, with a lovely core, crisp acids and simply stunning length and grip on the perfectly balanced finish. A great Auslese!"
