Still delicate, with a subtle spiciness from the new wood showing in the form of cinnamon and cloves; ripe apple fruit, delicate red berry nuances, not as expressive a bouquet as the No. 8. Oily texture, again with red berry jam, following with nougat and honey, opulent yellow fruit; very fleshy but well balanced by a perfectly integrated acid structure, with an exceptionally long finish amply supported by the wood; a wine for decades, but already satisfyingly drinkable today on account of its radiant definition."
