"The 2011 Comtes Lafon Charmes is stunning! The utterly classic bouquet delivers a complex mélange of apple, pear, passion fruit, a great base of minerality, almonds, a touch of coconut and a lovely framing of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied and very pure on the attack, with a very open-knit and seductive palate impression, a great core and superb backend mineral drive that delivers superb energy and grip on the very, very long finish.
