92 JG. "By letting the aligoté hang out on the vines well into October, Laurent was able to bring this wine in at 13.5 percent natural alcohol, which just adds greater fruit dimension to the racy acids of this varietal. The bouquet on the 2008 is knockout, as it offers up scents of lemon, white peach, orange, a touch of lemon grass, lovely minerality and gentle bass notes of leesiness. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, pure and really very long on the backend, with brisk acids, lovely focus and impressive grip." John Gilman, View From the Cellar, Nov/Dec 2009, Issue #24 |
