Lot #262. Gruaud Larose 1961

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: 97 VM.
"Bright red color is still amazingly youthful. Perfumed, penetrating aromas of superripe red cherry, tobacco, licorice and leather display lovely freshness and great complexity. Then creamy, dense and rich in the mouth, with compelling sweetness to the highly concentrated red cherry flavor complicated by mocha, cedar and graphite. A superlative wine made in tiny quantities: powerful, dense and multilayered. It is still youthful today and aging splendidly." Ian d'Agata, Vinous.com, Apr 2013
Provenance: The Nantais Cellar
Notes: 5cm lightly corroded, lightly stained capsule, damp stained, faded, wine stained, scuffed, bin soiled label.
