"Beau Vigne has received their first perfect score with their 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve, which is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, but there are only 145 cases of it. This wine is profound, with a stunning aromatic display of blue and black fruits, charcoal, graphite, and spring flowers. The wine has a flawless entry and mouthfeel, with a full-bodied density, opulence and an incredible finish of close to a minute. This is an amazing wine that even eclipses the other fabulous wines in the Beau Vigne portfolio . . . . This winery has been making terrific wines for a number of years, and the current lineup, put together by winemaker Kirk Venge, is just amazing. The10-acre estate vineyard sits at a relatively high 1,650-foot elevation on Soda Canyon Road. These are all dry-farmed vineyards planted in predominantly volcanic soils."
