"The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate, which is 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, is flirting with a three-digit score. Full-bodied, it offers magnificent aromatics ranging from floral notes to mulberry, blackberry, and cassis fruit as well as a touch of barrique and forest floor followed by an opulent, multi-layered palate of great intensity, purity and equilibrium. It should drink well for 25 years. This winery has been making terrific wines for a number of years, and the current lineup, put together by winemaker Kirk Venge, is just amazing. The 10-acre estate vineyard sits at a relatively high 1,650-foot elevation on Soda Canyon Road.
