"The 2013 Genevrières from Domaine Lafon had been racked in September of 2014 and was really showing beautifully at the time of my visit. The gorgeous nose soars from the glass in a blaze of apple, tangerine, passion fruit, iodine, musky floral tones, salty terres blanches and a deft framing of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and laser-like in its focus, with a silky textural element to the attack, a great core and stunning soil signature on the very long, very racy and utterly refined finish.
