Lot #1079. Booker Vineyard Grenache Ripper 22 2016

Description: Consists of 1 Bottle, 0.75L
Score: 97+ JD.
"The same wine as the straight Ripper only aged longer in barrel, the 2016 Ripper 22 is cut from the same cloth yet is slightly deeper and more rounded, with sensational notes of kirsch, blackberry liqueur, ground pepper, and leafy herbs. This full-bodied, rich, textured beauty shows slightly more evolution aromatically, yet I love its mid-palate density and length. Give bottles 2-3 years and it’s going to knock your socks off over the following decade. Eric Jensen’s Booker Vineyards continues to make a ripe, sexy, pedal-to-the-metal syle of wine and these latest 2016s don’t disappoint." Jeb Dunnuck, JebDunnuck.com, Nov 2018
Provenance: The Rocheux Cellar
Lot Location: Orange County
Estimate: $65
