"Dense and deep in the glass, Oreno 2019 - its 20th vintage - is captivating and firm while remaining noble and regal in the floral alternations that primarily illuminate its profile. Remarkably beautiful in its notes of rose petal, hibiscus flower, calendula, wisteria, and linden fused together to which nuances of chamomile and tangerine peel are added. In the background, complexity emerges in the grace of a Mediterranean profile rich in rosemary, wild thyme, and marjoram. Full bodied, silky tannins of excellent quality and perfect integration and an enveloping and dense finish that elicits emotion with every sip. Aged for about 16 months in first- and second-year barriques. A blend of 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Petit Verdot." Raffaele Vecchione, WinesCritic.com |
