97+ AG. "The 2014 Bettina is an absolutely exquisite wine. Bright, textured and wonderfully silky on the palate, the 2014 exudes class. Sweet red cherry, pomegranate, chocolate, mint, chalk and rose petal notes open up effortlessly in the glass. Tasted next to the Cabernet Sauvignon from the Bryant estate, the Bettina has more volume, power and density in all of its dimensions. A powerful, seductive wine, the 2014 captures all of the magic it showed from barrel. Blood orange, pomegranate and rose petal add an exotic flair on the finish. The 2014 is going to need a bit of time to soften, but it has been tremendous on both occasions I have tasted it from bottle so far. Bettina, a wine made from David Abreu fruit, has been deeply intriguing since it was first introduced a few years ago. The 2014 is the best version yet. In a word: magnificent." Vinous, Dec 2016 |
