Lot #1340. Michel Niellon Bâtard-Montrachet 2002

Description: Consists of 5 Bottles, 0.75L
Score: 95 AM.
"From a 0.12 ha parcel of vines on the Chassagne side planted in 1926 and abutting the parcel owned by the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. Wonderfully complex aromas that are reserved, tight and backward complement superbly rich, classy and pure full-bodied, indeed even muscular flavors of almost painful intensity. This is quite deep and exceptionally fine for Bâtard with length that just goes on and on. A stunner of a wine with huge potential and this is the first vintage in quite some time where the Bâtard is every bit as good as the Chevalier." Burghound.com, Jul 01, 2004
Provenance: The Tower Cellar
Lot Location: Orange County
