92 VM. "(Made from 80% pedro ximenez and 20% muscat de alexandria; aged for 12 months in a combination of stainless steel vats and 500-liter French oak casks): Light gold. An exotically perfumed bouquet evokes poached pear, toasted nuts, lemon curd and smoky minerals; smells a lot like a wine from the Jura. Sappy, broad and dry, displaying an array of intense orchard and pit fruit flavors that are given spine and bite by firm acidity. Closes chewy and long, with zesty mineral cut and lingering notes of almond and bitter citrus pith." Vinous, Sep 2013 |
