"The 2016 Fracture 22 offers a similar level of intensity yet slightly more elegance and finesse, reminding me of a Syrah from the likes of Manfred Krankl. Massive notes of crème de cassis, toasted spice, graphite, crushed flowers, and cured meats all emerge from this full-bodied, deep, rich, powerful effort that has off-the-charts purity of fruit. It’s just about as good as Syrah gets and is an incredible wine I wish every reader could taste.
